Bloomfield Takes TLR 22 to Win in European Debut
In what could have been dubbed as being "the Race of Champions", round 3 of the Taplow R/C Car club's winter championship was to be the first public race meeting of the TLR22 outside of the USA.
Some of the most respected racers in the UK including the current double European champion Lee Martin and the current BRCA 1:10 and 1:8 national champions Tom Cockerill and Darren Bloomfield took to the indoor track just outside of Slough in what turned out to be an epic meeting and a fitting UK debut for the TLR 22.
All 3 UK TLR 22 cars qualified into the top 10 in 2WD but with 8 car finals, it was the 3rd car of Andy Carter that had to settle for poling the B-final. Up at the sharp end though, it was the TLR22 of Darren Bloomfield who lined up 2nd on the grid alongside current EFRA European Champion Lee Martin with Tom Cockerill and David Poulter locking out the 2nd row of the grid with their Schumacher Cougars and ahead of the 2nd TLR22 of Simon Reeves in 5th and the XXX-CR of Special Agent Richard Barton in 6th place on the 3rd row of the grid.
With wins a piece for Lee and Darren in legs 1 and 2 of the final, it was all to play for in leg 3. After some incredible driving from both drivers, an uncharacteristic error from the pole man allowed the TLR22 of Darren Bloomfield into the lead – a position which he didn't relinquish, ending up nearly 7 seconds clear of Tom Cockerill in 2nd and Lee in 3rd.
So the overall win went to Darren Bloomfield with the all new TLR 22, 2nd place to Lee Martin and Tom Cockerill in 3rd. Simon Reeves made it a good day for the TLR team, placing his TLR22 in 4th place

Travis was able to gain a 12 second lead on the rest of the field until he did and end over on one the double that had deteriorated. The combination of the 10 plus minutes of the Nitrotec’s fuel consumption on one tank, Team Losi Nitrotane, Team Losi Silver Eclipses, and the Team Losi Racing 8IGHT 2.0 ultimately proved to be what Dupree needed to take the win. Privateer Kevin Bullock was able to take 3rd place using the Team Losi Racing 8IGHT 2.0.
Fischer, Peck, Wheeler, Sweep Nitro KBRL
The KBRL nitro circuit made the latest stop at the world famous Nitro Pit. TLR drivers Billy Fischer, Casey Peck, and Chris Wheeler were on hand to take on AZ's finest nitro racers.
Billy Fischer proved he was the guy to beat and TQ'ed both rounds of expert buggy, earning him the first position on the grid with his 2.0 buggy. At the sound of the tone for the 20 minute A main Billy was able to take control, but had Peck with in striking distance. After the first pit stop Casey took the lead and the battle ensued. After swapping the lead numerous times, Billy went on a hot streak. He strung a bunch of fast laps together and Casey did not have a snow ball's chance, as Fischer took the convincing win. Peck brought his 2.0 buggy home in the second spot. After a tough start, Wheeler was able to fight his way back to third and rounded out the Losi podium.

Losi XXX-SCT Takes First Win
The team took the brand new Losi XXX-SCT to the JBRL Finals at Hot Rod Hobbies for its racing debut this past weekend. Product Manager Keith Whisler, and team drivers Ryan Dunford, Casper Nielsen, and I all had early samples of the XXX-SCT RTR. The track was the typical high-bite blue groove that Hot Rod has become famous for and the weather was perfect setting up a great weekend of racing!
The 8-minute A-main event was setup well, and a large crowd gathered around the track to see how the XXX-SCT would stack up in racing conditions; it did not disappoint! Root's truck was able to get an early lead and check out, driving away from the field with fast lap after fast lap. The real action went on a little further back in the field. Coming from 9th and 10th on the grid, Ryan and Casper started to carve their way through the field, making nice clean passes and showing the precise handling of the XXX-SCT. Ryan made it all way up to 3rd and was chasing down second place, but ran out of time. Casper would finish a strong 6th. Upfront, the XXX-SCT was awesome, and Root was able to take the win by nearly a full lap!
The XXX-SCT showed it will be very competitive at the race track debuting with 3 trucks in the main, the TQ, two trucks on the podium, and most importantly, the win. Look for many more victories to come!

TLR 1-2-3 at RC Pro Series Mountain Division
Team Losi Racing drivers Dustin Evans and Matt Chambers attended the final round of the RC Pro Series Mountain Division. Through qualifying Dustin was on his game and took the overall TQ spot for the main with Matt startng 2nd. The main event would prove to be an interesting battle between the two Losi teammates.
At the start Dustin led with Matt in 2nd until a mistake coming on the staightaway allowed Matt to take over the lead. Matt and Dustin stayed close thruogh the first pit stop with Matt leading until he ran out of fuel just before the second fuel stop. This allowed Dustin a comfortable 2 lap lead over Matt who held onto 2nd despite the problem. With 15 minutes to go, Dustin had a problem with a front tire and had to come into the pits for a replacement. This allowed Matt to make up valuable time and get back to within 5 seconds of Dustin. A few small bobbles allowed Matt to take over the lead until a shorter fuel strategy had him pit an extra time. Dustin would cross the finish line first with Matt in second about 10 seconds back and another Losi driven by Chris Peralta rounding out the podium in 3rd.
Congrats are in order for Chris Peralta who took the overall win in Expert Buggy and Expert Truggy for the RC Pro Series Mountain Division!

Even with the extreme temperatures Truhe's car ran awesome and he had no worries of overheating with the Xcelorin 1700kv motor and Xcelorin 1/8 ESC.

At the start of the main, Matt led the field of 14 buggies until a mistake in the rhythm section allowed Mike Truhe to take over the top spot. Just after the first fuel stops Mike had a 9 second lead over Matt. The two remained within 12 seconds of each other through the next fuel stop and soon after Mike had to come into the pits for a quick adjustment. This allowed Matt to take over the lead and build a 20 second lead over 2nd place Mike. The two battled back and forth swapping turns at the lead until 6 minutes to go when Matt experienced a flameout giving Mike a comfortable 1 lap lead which he held until then end of the race. Meanwhile, Lars Johnson had patiently made his way through the field to take the third podium spot. This made it a clean sweep of the podium for Team Losi Racing drivers.
