Phend Wins The Reedy Race!

TLR® driver, Dakotah Phend, can now add the title of “Reedy International Off-Road Race Champion” to his already unbelievable resume. The Reedy Race is arguably one of the most prestigious events in the racing world and is not won on pure talent alone. It takes patience, preparation, luck, consistency and the best equipment possible to get the job done. Phend quietly worked his way up through the standings, staying under everyone’s radar until he was at the top of the leader board. The equipment he used to achieve this stunning victory included: TLR 22™ 3.0 and 22-4™ buggies, the Spektrum™ DX4R PRO radio, Spektrum S6240 servos, a Team Orion R10.1 2S ESC, a Vortex VST2 PRO 5.5t motor and Carbon 4500mAh Ultra Shorty LiPos.

It was an impressive showing for the rest of the TLR crew as well. During the 2WD segment, Dustin Evans was virtually untouchable and headed into the 4WD segment as the man to beat. Once the 4WD segment was underway, Evans’ TLR teammate, Ryan Maifield, took over the points lead and appeared to be headed for his first back-to-back Reedy Race win. Luck played a hand, however, and Maifield had to settle for 2nd place behind Phend,  netting TLR a one-two finish.

Finally, for all you number guys out there, think about this…
Phend just signed a 2-year contract extension 2 weeks ago. This was the 22nd running of the Reedy Race. A 22 and 22-4 won the race (2+2=4). TLR drivers finished in the top 2 spots. And TLR has now won the Reedy Race 2 years in a row. Just saying…

Jenson Takes Pro4!
This past weekend, Motor Head Indoor Raceway in San Jacinto, California hosted the 2nd Annual Pro-Line Indoor Offroad Winter Nationals. This was a 2 day race that consisted of 3 qualifying rounds on Saturday, and 3 main events on Sunday. Motor Head Raceway had a fun layout with great traction that resulted in some very exciting racing.
TLR driver David Jenson took the TQ and victory in the PRO4 class with his Orion powered Team Losi Racing TEN SCTE 2.0. David would also finish in 2nd place with his Orion powered Team Losi Racing 22-4 in the highly competitive 4wd buggy class.

Wheeler Wins at the Winter Nats!

TLR team driver Chris Wheeler had a great weekend at the Pro-Line Winter Nationals held at at Motor Head Indoor Raceway. Wheeler took the TQ and win in Pro 2 Short Course with his 22SCT 2.0, qualified 2nd and finished 2nd in Mod 2wd Buggy with his 22 3.0 and qualified 4th and finished 4th in 4wd Mod Buggy with my TLR 22-4.

Ogden Takes the Winter Classic!

The Colonels Winter Classic was held at Savannah, GA this past weekend and Mother Nature was not cooperating. What was supposed to be a two day event, quickly became a one day event with qualifiers shortened and the man events starting around 1:00 am. The late night start didn’t affect TLR’s Cole Ogden as he lead the A main from start to finish! Ogden backed up his dominant win in buggy by taking a hard fought second place behind his TLR teammate, JR Mitch.
