Axial West Coast Challenge Championship Series

For the past few years, The Axial West Coast Challenge has been one of the biggest annual RC Rock Crawling events. This year drivers will have to compete at various qualifier events with only 75 of the best drivers getting an invite to the event. This past weekend the first round of qualifying was held at Lake Wolford, in Southern California and drew a large crowd of competitors.

In an effort to “level” the playing field, the 2.2 class was split into two classes by having an “MOA” (motor on axle) and a “Shafty” (shaft driven) class with separate winners as well as an overall winner.

Well Losi driver Jake Wright proved that theory all wrong by not only winning the shafty class, but also taking the overall win by 15 points. In fact five of the top ten overall were Team Losi Racing Comp Crawlers. Jake also dispelled the theory that bigger tires are better by using the superior traction of Losi Comp Claws which help keep the center of gravity lower. Jake also equipped his winning Comp Crawler with an Xcelorin Sensored 21.5 Brushless Crawler system and a Losi 11.1V 3S LiPo Crawler pack.

Congratulations to Jake for an outstanding finish!
