Dakotah Phend takes first place in the Outlaw Truck A-MainCRCRC

The 22nd Annual Columbus Midwest Electric Winter Championship was held at CRCRC in Columbus, OH. The large indoor track was comprised of packed clay and featured technical jumps and low speed sections.

Team Losi Racing Dominates Rnd. 6 of Arizona Championship Series

Losi-Nitrotane drivers Casey Peck, Chris Wheeler and Billy Fischer finish 1-2-3 in the buggy class.Losi drivers Billy Fischer and Casey Peck finish first and third in the truggy class.
Team Losi Racing drivers dominated at Round Six of the Arizona Championship Series held at Nitro Nutz in Phoenix, AZ. Team driver Billy Fischer was able to take the TQ in buggy qualifying with his 8IGHT 2.0 buggy. In the truggy class it was Losi driver Casey Peck who took his 8IGHT-T 2.0 truggy to the TQ spot.

The loamy track was a true challenge for the main events. As the track deteriorated and became very rough it kept every driver on their toes for the twenty minute battle. In the end, Casey Peck's 8IGHT 2.0 came in at the top of the heap with fellow teammate Chris Wheeler in second and Billy Fischer in third for a Losi-Nitrotane podium. Billy Fischer was the champion of the truggy class; his 8IGHT-T 2.0 truggy gobbled up the worst of the bumps and took him straight to first place with Peck finishing in third.

Team Losi Racing L8IGHT Model Hot at The Chili Bowl

Losi driver Doug Gaut takes first place at the 2009 Chili Bowl with the Team Losi Racing L8IGHT Model Race Roller.
The new Team Losi Racing L8IGHT Model, nitro late model oval race roller, debuted with a bang at the 2009 Chili Bowl Jr. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This mid-winter RC race is run in conjunction with the largest and most prestigious full-scale oval race and drew almost 200 RC entries from around the country.
Although the L8IGHT Model was released only a month ago there were many new owners and eager racers waiting to see it in action. The L8IGHT Model did not disappoint as Lars Johnson from Colorado led the pack from the start of practice until the main event. Lars and fellow L8IGHT Model drivers Lee Morrison, Doug Gaut, and Jeff Harper consistently turned the fastest lap times during practice in the largest class at this event. Lars, who was using Spektrum’s DX3R radio, continued with this pace throughout qualifying taking the top qualifying spot.
The A-Main saw 6 of the 8 finalists driving the Team Losi Racing L8IGHT Model. Although Lars jumped out to the lead with blistering lap times that were the quickest of the weekend, his fellow L8IGHT Model drivers were right behind putting on a great show for the crowd. Unfortunately Lars experienced a issue which allowed fellow Losi drivers Lee Morrison and Doug Gaut to battle for the win. Doug came back from a tangle to take the win – the first for the production L8IGHT Model Race Roller.
Congratulations go out to the organizers for a great event the all the racers for putting on an exceptional show.

Ryan Villopoto Races Losi

Kawasaki's Supercross and Motocross driver Ryan Villopoto spends quite a bit of time at the track. It's not surprising that even when he's not racing Supercross or Motocross, Ryan still spends much of his time around a dirt track. A dirt off-road RC track, that is.

When Losi recently discovered that Ryan enjoys racing 1/8-scale off-road vehicles at his local RC track, Losi driver Adam Drake presented him with a custom-built Team Losi Racing 8IGHT-T Truggy.
