Round four
of the French Nitro Off-road Nationals was held this past weekend at the CARCA
track near Noeux les Mines. TLR’s Reno Savoya was the driver to beat taking the
first four qualifying rounds with his TLR teammate Jean-Pierrick Sartel right
behind him. In the 45 minute A-main, Savoya put on a clinic and lead the entire
race with his TLR teammates Thomas Musso, Jean-Pierrick Sarteland and Jerome
Sartel rounding out an all TLR top four finish.

Da Champ Gets His Belts!
The 8th running of the Northern California Off-Road
Championships better known as the Nor-Cal Champs, took place at Nor-Cal Hobbies
in San Jose, CA. With the coveted “Boxing Belts” on the line, competition was extremely
tough. In the end, TLR’s Derek Stephansen drove his 22 3.0 to the overall win
in the Mod 2WD Buggy class. Stephansen wasn’t finished there as he went on to
take the win in Mod 2WD Short Course with his 22SCT 2.0
Two For Jenson!
Round four of this year’s JBRL Electric Series was held at
OCRC Raceway in Huntington Beach, California. TLR driver David Jenson had a
stellar weekend taking the win in the Mod Short Course class with his 22SCT
2.0. Making a TLR clean sweep of the podium, TLR teammate Jake Thayer took
second with Frank Root taking third. In the E-Buggy class, it was once again
Jenson taking the win with his 8IGHT-E 4.0 and TLR teammate Thayer taking the
second spot on the podium.
Contest...No Contest!
The 2016 Bittydesign Euro Contest took place in Barco, Italy
this past weekend. As one of the flashiest and entertaining races overseas, TLR
wanted to leave their mark and that’s just what they did. TLR team driver Marco
Baruffolo stood on the top spot of the podium with his 8IGHT 4.0 and his
teammate Alex Zanchettin taking the third step on the podium.

Dominant (adjective
dom·i·nant \-nənt\)
a : commanding,
controlling, or prevailing over all others
b : very important,
powerful, or successful
There is no other word to describe TLR’s Ryan Maifield at
this year’s ROAR Nationals. TQing 7 out of 8 rounds, driving his 8IGHT 4.0 from
the back of the pack after bad luck at the start and just missing the win by a
seventh of a second, to taking a purely amazing wire to wire win with his
8IGHT-T 4.0! It’s no wonder Maifield is considered one of the best drivers in
the entire world! Congratulations Ryan.

The King...Squared!
This past
weekend Stateline Raceway held their annual King of Kings Race which attracts top
drivers from all over the Midwest. It looked to be a great weekend, but Mother
Nature had other plans. TLR team driver Collin Weatherholt laid down the TQ in
E-Buggy with his 8IGHT-E 4.0. Half way through nitro qualifying, the skies
opened up and Weatherholt was stuck in the last heat but still managed to put
his 8IGHT 4.0 into the A main. After a slight rain delay on Sunday morning, Weatherholt
laid the smack down and took convincing wins in both E-Buggy and Nitro Buggy
pulling off a double at the Kings of Kings!
