The 12th annual Montpellier GP was hosted by MBM track in southern France, drawing several top French and European drivers. Losi drivers Yannick Aigoin and Riccardo Rabitti both competed in the 1/8 buggy class with their Team Losi Racing 8IGHT 2.0 Buggies. Yannick came out ahead during qualifying as the top qualifier.
On the day of the A-Main the weather conditions were clear but cold, with an average temperature of four degrees Celsius. The track offered racers a hard surface with no holes, no large bumps and very little dust. Riccardo finished the A-Main in first place, and with a two lap lead ahead of the drivers in second and third.
